Missi roti is made with a combination of wheat flour, gram flour (besan), spices and vegetables like onion, carrots etc.

"Missi roti has various health benefits which include, controlling diabetes, lowering cholesterol levels. It has lots of nutrients like protein, vitamin B1, B2, and B3.

1 cup wheat flour 1 cup Gram flour (besan) 4 Tbsp cooking oil 2 chopped green chilli ½ inch chopped ginger chopped coriander 2 medium-size chopped onion ¼ tsp hing ½ tsp Kasuri methi powder

Ingredients

½ tsp amchur (dry mango powder) ¼ tsp ajwain (carom seeds) ¼ tsp haldi (turmeric) ¼ tsp crushed kali mirch (black pepper) ¼ tsp crushed dhaniya seeds (coriander seeds) 1 tsp salt 1 cup water

Steps for making missi roti dough

Take 1 cup of wheat flour & besan in a bowl. Add all the spices and mix it well Now add all the vegetables in it and mix it well Add little water and kneed the dough

Cover it with a plate and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Atta is ready. Make small dough balls and cover them from all sides with wheat flour. Roll the dough balls to make a circular shape roti.

Steps for making missi roti

Place the rolled missi roti heated tawa. Flip it, when the base is partially cooked. Spread some oil on the partly cooked part.

Flip it again, the other side will be more cooked and spread some oil. Press the missi roti with the spoon to cook from all sides. Flip again once or twice to make it golden brown from all the sides. Your missi roti is ready.
