Moong Dal Halwa Recipe

Moong dal halwa is a classic Indian sweet recipe. This halwa is very delicious in taste and everyone love it.

Ingredients

  • 100 gm moong dal
  • 100 gm desi ghee
  • 100 gm ghee
  • 250 ml milk
  • elachi seeds crushed
  • pistachios pista
  • almonds badam
  • cashew kaju

Instructions

  • roughly blend the moong dal in the blender. (Do not use any water in it)
  • In a hot pan add 80 gm desi ghee and melt it.
  • In the hot ghee add a paste of dal and mix it well.
  • On lower-medium gas flame stirs it well for the next 15-20 minutes.
  • Once it is golden brown, add 100-gram sugar and mix it well. Stir it well for the next 6-7 minutes.
  • Now add milk to it and continuously stir it for the next 7-8 minutes.
  • Add elaichi seeds, and dry fruits and mix them well.
  • In the next 5-7 minutes it will become thick add the rest of the desi ghee and mix it.
  • Serve your moong dal halwa.
